The company of Broadhurst Clarkson date back to the 1700's, and were one of England's most prolific & well known makers. The company still exists, albeit in a different form. This superb 3" refractor captures Broadhurst Clarkson in the middle fo the 20th century, and has survivied in excellent condition. The tripod is the classic full-height example with alt/az cradle, while the scope itself shows what was to come in the later years of the company. The scope comes with a typical wooden box for the OTA, two eyepieces, and the excellent star BC star diagonal. The rack & pinion focuser is smooth, and the optics are clear and clean.
