They were also adopted by many manufacturers, rebranded and sold as their own, such was the high standard of their optical and mechanical quality. The years have been very kind to the classic Vixen refractor. While an acceptable all round performer, it is an absolutely astonishing planetary scope. The consistant Vixen optical quality is second to none, and the Super Polaris equatorial mounting & iconic pressed aluminium tripod is probably one of the most copied designs in astronomy. This telescope is in exceptional condition, and is remarkably complete. Even the seldom seen Vixen sun projection screen and holder is present, along with the original Tupperware eyepiece container! It has a .965 inch focuser tube, and comes with a handful of original Vixen (Circle V) eyepieces. An adaptor to allow the use of modern 1.25" eyepieces is readily available (please inquire), but the eyepieces that it is equipped with are exceptional. This scope is around 20 years old, but doesn’t look it’s age.
