We are not a retail premises, so most of the items on this website are in storage prior to sale. However, it may be possible to view some of the larger items on appointment. If you’re interested, please ask.
Without exception, purchases made by credit card will be shipped to the address shown on the statement, and linked to the credit card account. Third party shipping addresses will not be accepted.
Skylight Telescopes uses Paypal Website Payments Pro at the checkout phase of your order. All major credit cards are accepted, no Paypal account is required, and you will not be required to store your information with Paypal. Due to a combination of size, fragility, and the lack of care shown by some courier companies, some of our larger items are on a pick-up only basis (*see below). Although, in some cases, a delivery service may be possible for an extra charge.
If paying by cheque, please allow suitable time for clearance before item will be shipped (usually 4—5 working days from the date of banking).
PICK UP ITEMS
Pick-up items are available only on a cash or cheque payment basis. The buyer will have full rights to inspect the goods to his/her satisfaction before purchasing. While this makes some transactions more of a challenge, larger telescopes are bulky, may not have original packaging, and require gentle handling. In my experience, gentle handling is rarely offered as an option with many courier companies. If this method causes you concern, please see our Customer Guarantee policy (T & C).
While we regularly ship products to the Mainland United Kingdom, International shipping is possible with most items. To date we have shipped telescopes to worldwide locations within Europe, Asia, North America, & Australia. If you are outside the UK, and are interested in an item on this website, please contact us to discuss options. Shipping charges included in the prices shown cover postage only to mainland UK and customs/duty/VAT may be incurred during importation which will be the buyers responsibility. If you’re unsure about this policy in any way, please contact us before purchasing.
All products which are pick-up only are clearly marked as such. All other prices shown include suitable insured shipping to most mainland UK locations.
Shipping is done twice weekly, with our goal being for you to receive the item(s) you’ve purchased within a maximum of 5 working days of your order being placed (if you pay by cheque, this will delay your delivery date, as suitable clearance time will be required). Shipping is done via courier, or for smaller items via Royal Mail Special Delivery or First class recorded services. All options are a signed for service, and are fully insured. Under no circumstances will your purchase be sent without appropriate insurance. If you feel your order is late, we would appreciate it if you would wait one week before querying.
