First things first.  If you've arrived here thinking that Chromatic abberation is the sign of an inferior optic, then you may as well hit the back button now.  To borrow a phrase; 'there's more to life than false colour.'

If you can step away from that tired and overused buzzword 'apo,' and believe the importance of an image is based on optical quality & image stability instead of how many elements of glass are in the objective...then please read on.

The Skylight series of refractors are built to an ethos: a fusion of modern engineering and Victorian design.  This is a visual instrument.  If you're interested in imaging the Veil Nebula with a ccd costing 1000's of pounds, then this is not the right scope for you.  However, if you're interested in viewing through a high quality instrument with identity and character and not just simply the latest part off the CNC mill, then you're in the right place.
