The Skylight F15 Refractor

The Skylight F15 is a craftsman-made long focus refractor inspired by the golden age of English telescope making, and the refractors of T. Cooke & Sons. SEE THE F15 IN PERSON, CURRENTLY ON DISPLAY AT THE WIDESCREEN CENTRE IN LONDON. Don’t be part of the herd. This all metal, high specification telescope is designed for the individual. Mounting applications are the user’s choice, and the pictures shown are suggestions only! The Skylight F15 looks superb whether on a classic mount like a Unitron, a state of the art Losmandy GM-8, or even a Televue Gibraltar can be used to create a Grab & Go Skylight! A Televue Gibraltar also makes a perfect display mounting…please inquire regarding a package price which includes F15 & Gibraltar. Designed, and assembled by hand in the UK in limited quantities. Where possible, components are sourced from within the UK, including some bespoke parts. Where required, the metal parts are prepared & polished by hand. As it is hand assembled (& in the case of some elements, hand made), each example is individual & completely unique. While stunning to look at, viewing through the Skylight F15 is special. The experience of viewing through a well-built, long focus refractor is like few others, with tremendous planetary detail visible. THIS IS NOT A CLONE. The Skylight F15 is about pride of ownership, an heirloom object that is not found at every star party or society meeting, and the pleasure of owning & using an instrument that is like no other. Due to its’ hand-made/assembled nature, even its’ few siblings are slightly different. The Skylight F15 specifications: -Objective lens: 1/8th wave 100mm/F15 clear aperture in collimateable cell -2"/80mm Baader Steeltrack dual rate focuser with 1.25" adaptor & brass focus plug -20 × 40mm finderscope -OTA length (from focuser end (racked in) to -dewshield tip: 1600mm -OTA diameter: 100mm -OTA weight (including brass dew cap): 9 kilograms -1 year warranty This elegant combination of high spec components & finish, time, labour, and personal attention is yours for £1500 GBP + shipping. Shipping to most mainland UK addresses is £50, please inquire for shipping costs to other destinations. If the Skylight F15 is currently unavailable, then a £700 deposit will secure you a scope from the next batch (delivery in about 8-10 weeks, depending on state of completion at ordering.) The Skylight F15 requires a 2" diagonal (not included) to reach focus. The mounting shown is for demonstration purposes only, and is not included.
